A Father's Love~

The video (Click "A Father's Love~" to view) of this Father and Son has been making it's rounds around the internet. It is so humbling to see the sacrificial love of this Father. How much more perfect and merciful and compassionate is the love of the Heavenly Father towards His children.

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:14

Psalm 139~13

For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.

Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers on Baby Girl's very public showing. It was a wonderful evening. They first did and ultrasound on a woman who was in her first trimester. I have never been to someone else's ultrasound and it was so amazing to see how perfect this little one was. So tiny and yet so perfect. Our Pastor shared that the Greek word for knit in the above Scripture is one which construes the making of tissue and muscle and bone. How AWESOME to think about God hand creating each and every one of us. Then it was my turn. They had us behind a black curtain so it was very private and nobody except the sonographer and music minister's wife saw my belly ;o)

I have never had an ultrasound when I was so far along. Wow, is she busy in there! We could see her eyes opening and closing and her sucking and even swallowing. How amazing. She is beautiful and perfect and even has hair on her little head. We think she looks like our 3rd child;our 8 yo dd as a baby.

It's amazing to think she now weighs almost 4 lbs and our Wee Babe was less than 2 when he was found.

They had a birth mother speak about how she came to decide not to have an abortion and place her baby girl for adoption. It was so touching. I admire birth mothers and their sacrifice so much. I have thought often of our Ethiopian Boys' birth mothers throughout this pregnancy. I have wondered what their pregnancies were like and if they knew how quickly they would be separated from their boys. My heart aches for them.

They then had a woman who had gone through the experience of abortion and shared the way God was healing her heart. What a blessing she was. Sophie, I have been praying for your friend.

It was a wonderful evening and a blessing to see people who aren't merely talking about being Pro-Life but helping the Moms and little ones who so desperately need people showering them with the love of Christ.

Romans 12:1~

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.

OR

Why Thurs evening I will be getting an ultrasound in front of my Pastor and 1/2 my church family and various other strangers...

Y'all know my beloved hubby (otherwise known as Mr. Anonymous in the comment section ;o)?

Well, one Wednesday evening he called me on the way home from a committee meeting at church. After exchanging our usual pleasantries he reminded me of a conversation we had a few weeks prior about how our local Women's Center was trying to raise money for an ultrasound machine. He then shared with me the wonderful news that they had aquired a machine. What a blessing! More than 80% of women who see their babies via ultrasound will not have an abortion. I was very happy to hear this. He then told me that at their fundraiser they were going to do an ultrasound LIVE on a pregnant woman because many people have never actually seen an ultrasound. "Wow, that's great!" I commented.. "Isn't it?" he said.. The it hit me.."Oh no you did NOT!" I replied. He laughed and assured me it is going to be awesome. Especially since they are going to have it up on the BIG screens :O!

So, if you think of it pray I don't have a heart attack as I hate getting up in front of people. Pray my belly will be covered!!..Most of all pray for a great fundraiser for this wonderful center which helps women and their young babies.

Oh, and maybe Mr. Anonymous will have some pics to scan of Baby Girl.

Blessings!

James 5:16~

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much...

PLEASE keep the White family in your prayers. Their sweet Ethiopian Daughter went to be with the Lord. Pray that He will give them the peace and the comfort He alone can give.

Proverbs 21:23~

He who guards his mouth and his tongue
keeps himself from calamity.

Last night I was wiping down the counters one last time before bed. My DARLING hubby let out the words every hormonal woman in her 7th month of pregnancy longs to hear..

"Man your belly is getting B-I-G!"

Six pregnancies and he still hasn't learned ;o)

I have to give him credit..He tried a quick recovery with "I said big, not large or huge." Followed up with a phone call this morning in whcih he declared the rest of me is so small it just makes my belly look big." Hmm..

Love ya honey!

Romans 8:28

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

I'm so sorry for stopping my blog so suddenly. Thank you all for your love and kindness The morning sickness (or as in my case afternoon/ night sickness) has really taken a toll on me the last few months. I would do my blog in the evenings but have been collapsing the minute Jim walks in the door. Our days have been so busy with schooling and keeping the household going. I have the best hubby and kiddies in the world. They have been amazing. Baby girl is doing well and we are in our last trimester. I have been trying to tell her that we should be WAY past this sickness stuff but she's NOT listening!

God has been teaching me so much about grace and humbleness. When we are weak He truly is strong.

Here are some pics and updates!

My wonderful cousin Hope came and spent 3 weeks helping us! Here we are w/ my cousin (and her dh and 7 lovely children;fellow homeschoolers), my older brother, my Mom, and Manfriend Frank. One day our children will use this pic to explain to their therapists where it all went wrong..

Look at how big our 2 yo is getting! He is smart, funny, crazy about Curious George.. and Oh YES! Potty trained!!!

Arts and Crafts w/ the littler hsers..

Our 10 dd hard back at work hsing!!

This is where Wee Babe has been spending much of his time. He is having a hard time gaining weight. We have discovered he is allergic to dairy and soy. Six times a day I whip out my blender and try and concoct THE homemade babyfood that will silmultaneously appeal to his (ahem rather picky palate ;o) and add lbs. I came across a onesie today that has Yoda on it and says "Size Matters Not". That will be our new motto. He is doing so well in other areas and is such a JOY. Good things really do come in small packages.

Our 12 yo son took this pic of our 3 yo. He just loves the water and especially diving. Here he is doing his "Nestea Plunge Dive." Don't be surprised if you see him in the Summer Olympics one day as the first Ethiopian High Diver to win gold..

And finally, our 4yo (Picture taken by Hopie), who I think could be the Krispy Kreme poster child :o)
