I love the way God fashions families and how he creates the varied personalities of each member. When we were getting ready to bring home our 1 yo from Ethiopia we were wondering how our 2 yo son would handle suddenly no longer being "The Baby". We need not have worried. God had planned for these two to be brothers since the beginning of time...1 Corinthians 13:4~


Love is Patient.....

Our 1 yo has decided he doesn't need a push toy to practice his walking. He simply grabs onto his 2 yo brother's shirt and they walk together. Our 2 yo loves this!! they giggle hysterically all the while.



Love is Kind...

1Peter 4:8~

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

This morning as the littles were enjoying their oatmeal I suddenly heard the plaintive wail of "Mama!" from the 4 year old in...... that tone. You know the tone children use when they are about to rat out a sibling who is wronging them deeply. "Yes, Honey?" I replied. "P is eating my CRUMBS!" I look over at the 2 yo who is happily scarfing any stray oatmeal pieces that are flying out of 4 yo's bowl and onto the table. Dh exchanged choked back a laugh and I replied "Well then, keep your crumbs in your bowl." "Oh, o.k." he said happy to have his little problem solved.

Feeling confident in my mediating abilities I briefly debate heading to Washington DC to dole out some of my God given wisdom to the Democrats and Republicans...Somehow though I think common sense may be lost on them.

So, I think I'll stay here with my tender hearted little crumb snatchers..

Wee Babe has been home for 6 months!!!
He is amazing! It's hard to imagine what we did before we had his little 4 tooth smile to light up our days.

He is on the verge of some BIG things.. He is standing alone and taking first steps...He has gained 3 lbs in the past month (Thank you Jesus!).

He brings joy to our hearts and laughter to our home. O.K. I'll confess he rules the roost and has us all to do his bidding. :o) He is a benevolent and cheerful Little Dictator though :o) God has truly blessed us with our Wee Little Man.





His oldest brother is one of his most faithful subjects ;o)

The Food Chain~

Yesterday we went to lunch at a pizza buffet. We eat vegetarian. Our 4 yo Ethiopian son inquired about a certain type of pizza and I told him it was chicken. His eyes widened and he looked at me increduously... As if to make sure we weren't experiencing a language misunderstanding he asked wide eyed "Bawk, Bawk?"
