because they have a good return for their work:
If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. Eccles. 4:9-12...
On Sept 4, 1987 Jim and I met for the first time...(wow, 20 years ago!)
He took me to Homecoming shortly afterwards...
Where this picture was taken...
It makes me smile to look at it..the hair..his really cool mullet :o)...my bubble skirt..my big hair..it just screams "1980's..you can almost hear Tiffany singing in the background.
Our kiddies wondered why the photographer didn't take another picture as Jim's eyes are closed...the young whipper snappers don't remember the days before digital cameras..we had to wait for FILM to be developed. ..a foreign concept to our computer generation offspring :o).
Why it really makes me smile is that God gave me the wonderful gift of my very best friend in Jim....words can't even begin to describe how much I love him and all that he means to me.
What is even more precious is that God took our two-fold cord...and saved us both through the power of Jesus and now... we are a three fold cord. Jim, I and the Holy Spirit of the Living God. He knew "way back then" that we would one day become His children.
Thank you Jesus for my wonderful husband and friend and thank you for YOU who made us your own.
