"Our Daddy may have only had a third grade education, but he could read the King James Bible, " says Helen Ashe. He taught us three things: 1. There is but one race-- the human race. 2. There is but one Father--the Heavenly Father. 3. Never take the last piece of bread from the table. (Helen Ashe co-founder of the Love Kitchen)"

Jim has the boys at the Dr. right now, so I thought I'd try and post a quick update... :o)

Everyone is doing *SO* well! I realize we very well may be in the middle of our famous adoption "Honeymoon", but we will enjoy each day as it comes.

So, here are some random observations from the last several days..

~Our boys are genuinely very nice. They respond immediately when one of their siblings is hurt, and they dote on the little ones.

~Anything electronic is golden to them. Right now they are enamored with MP3 Players. Out of our vast variety of music their favorite songs are from the Gaithers (Southern Gospel). This strikes me as very funny .

~We haven't shown them the Wii yet, but we have watched one movie. Just the suggestion brought squeals of delight.

~They love laser tag.

~They love walkie-talkies. These have been great for getting them to come out of their shells.

~They have not touched a soccer ball since they have been home. They are very intent on learning every American Sport. They especially love baseball.

~They love, love, love riding their bikes. It took Joel one hour of determined trying, but now he too is riding his bike. They smile the whole time they ride.

~They LOVED the park. It brought BIG smiles and laughter too.

~They have eaten every meal we have served them without complaint. Of course, Joel keeps a bottle of red pepper, black pepper, and salt near his plate. Each meal gets a liberal sprinkling.

~They had their first taste of chocolate cake. They were very hesitant, but were quickly converted..Joel wanted to pepper it, but we convinced him it was better in it's natural unpeppered state ;o)

~They are so HAPPY to have blue jeans.

~It is very hard to find pants to fit little boys whose waist fits into a 3T, but their legs are the size of an 8 and a 10.

~Belts are our friends.

~They are affectionate with me and will give hugs, and kisses. They also let me lotion them up. Their poor skin is going through humidity withdrawl..and we don't live in a dry place!

~Peer Pressure can be a positive thing. They are learning so much from watching our other children.

~They very sweetly do little jobs I have given them. I have paired them up with a sibling, and they do chores together. I know it may seem like it's soon to start on this, but it makes them feel part of the family. Also, it would be hard on them if I sprung it on them a few weeks from now. They are home and this is family. They have responded really well.

~Daddy is also golden. They love Daddy..which is why he has them at the Dr. with all of the needles and stuff :o)

~Thank you for all of the love and the prayers. We have been immensely blessed by you all!

So glad to have an update from you! I know you must be so busy but I just love reading about your new additions.

I think I'd love being a kid at your house... and I'd do chores w/ one of those sweet siblings, too. :)

Oh boy do I know about that. My 9yo dd is having a tough time with it, my 12yo has lived with it too. Ah... the joys...

Love reading your updates. So much fun!

Yea! What fun to read your updates. I, too, have planned to pair our kids up with their new brother and sisters for chore time.

We must await tomorrow's confirmation, but ... we are hoping to travel on the 20th.

I hear you on this too! 2 years later and it is still an issue for our son, but much better now.

Your sons are so gorgeous... what happy pictures!
