Psalm 23:1~ (sort of..)

We have begun teaching our sweet 5 yo the 23rd Psalm this week.

Tonight he very proudly began reciting...

"The Lord is my chef; I shall not want.."

Of course, who else would prepare a table ;o). I love the way little minds work.. I love teaching our children about the Shepherd. Child-like faith is precious to behold.

Lord, thank you for these precious blessings who you use to teach me about YOU.

Oh Renee, this is priceless. Thank you for sharing this window into your life. You truly are my sister in Jesus. It blesses me to see your appreciation for the privilege of being mommy to eleven little gifts from God. Have a wonderful day my friend!

Psalm 23 is probably the most recognized chapter in the Bible and most often referenced. I post it here for those maybe not familiar with it's comforting words.

Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,

3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.

4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death, [a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.

6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD

The Lord is the ultimate chef! I love this. I also loved your post on boys. We just found out we are expecting our 4th boy (and bringing home a baby girl very soon). When people are amazed at our family of 4 boys, 1 girl I'll just give them your blog address;)

Please give him a hug for me!
Of course this precious little one thinks his Lord is a chef :)
It makes me wonder how much of hunger he remembers...
I wonder how many people he will help to feed when he is a grown man....
please remember me to him...
the chickens are on my latest post:)
