This is an incredibly powerful video. You have to watch it all the way to the end..
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16~
God is working and moving in Haiti...and around the world. He is also working in people's hearts and minds. I read an article today that said people are lined up to adopt orphans! Halleluijah!
People are giving to Haiti everywhere we turn and it just blesses me so to see how much people care.
Of course, the most important thing we can all do for Haiti in the months and years to come is to be on our knees praying.
Our 5 year old spontaneously prayed tonight
" Jesus loves me this I know..please God give the people in Haiti food and water and help them be safe and be saved."
He then told me he wanted to go there and help the people. A heart stirred by Jesus for those in need.
I know I have personally been so convicted that so much of what occupies my mind is truly frivolous. They are luxury worries. The 10 lbs. I want to lose..the things I want to declutter out of my home...the worry over choosing a math curriculum.
These things mean nothing in the light of eternity. God has set into our lives and our sphere of influence every day people to impart with God's word. He gives us opportunities to bless those we come across with "a word fitly spoken" or a chance "to give a drink of cold water in His Name". We only need to take it. We need to keep our eyes on Him and He will guide us.
We need to go forth in love...in our homes, in our neighborhoods, at the store, at church, with our time, and with our money.
Only one life,'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.

Wow. What a powerful video!
Your five-year-old sounds like a real sweetie. Tell him to keep praying. They are at the embassy right now trying to get papework to get at least 110 of the kids out today or tomorrow.
What a beautiful post. Praying for those in Haiti and those around the world to extend their hearts.

I'm so glad you were able to find it on YouTube. It must have come out after I looked originally. I've probably seen it 10x now and I still well up with tears.
So ironic, your worries are identical to my luxury worries.
My heart breaks for Haiti, tremor after tremor. The families from S. Florida who have lost their teen children who were doing missionary work were on tv last night. Their pain is so raw & desperate. I pray for them too.
Ahhh...... time to rest. Seems like such a long day.
Thank you for this blog post! Truly an amazing video! Your blog has blessed me so much and you are right, it appears we have alot in common with 8 boys and 4 girls, homeschooling etc. I would LOVE some homeschool help. We have just been home a few weeks with my Ethiopian kids and we are trying to get into our homeschooling groove because they are wanting to start some academics. Would love to hear what you are using and how your day goes.
