This is an incredibly powerful video. You have to watch it all the way to the end..

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16~

God is working and moving in Haiti...and around the world. He is also working in people's hearts and minds. I read an article today that said people are lined up to adopt orphans! Halleluijah!

People are giving to Haiti everywhere we turn and it just blesses me so to see how much people care.

Of course, the most important thing we can all do for Haiti in the months and years to come is to be on our knees praying.

Our 5 year old spontaneously prayed tonight

" Jesus loves me this I know..please God give the people in Haiti food and water and help them be safe and be saved."

He then told me he wanted to go there and help the people. A heart stirred by Jesus for those in need.

I know I have personally been so convicted that so much of what occupies my mind is truly frivolous. They are luxury worries. The 10 lbs. I want to lose..the things I want to declutter out of my home...the worry over choosing a math curriculum.

These things mean nothing in the light of eternity. God has set into our lives and our sphere of influence every day people to impart with God's word. He gives us opportunities to bless those we come across with "a word fitly spoken" or a chance "to give a drink of cold water in His Name". We only need to take it. We need to keep our eyes on Him and He will guide us.

We need to go forth in love...in our homes, in our neighborhoods, at the store, at church, with our time, and with our money.

Only one life,'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.
URGENT prayer needed.

Kathy over at Cassel Crew has two children at this orphanage. Please pray as the 133 children (65 under the age of 3) walk more than 2 kilometers on broken roads to the US Embassy so they can be transported home. They will be provided no food, water, or security. Please pray that God will protect them and give the workers strength and wisdom.

Please pray that they will be placed into their adoptive families arms soon and that God will give these families peace as they wait.

Orphans begin procedures to depart Haiti at U.S. Embassy
(Port-au-Prince, Haiti) On January 20, 2010, 133 orphans from the Maison des Enfants de Dieu (Children of the House of God) orphanage will begin the difficult process outlined by the U.S. Department of State for humanitarian parole and onward transportation to the United States.
In accordance with instructions received from the State Department, as relayed by the Joint Council on International Children's Services (JCICS) at 8 p.m. today, orphans along with orphanage staff members have been instructed to arrive at the U.S. Embassy as early as possible on Wednesday morning.
JCICS warned that no food, water or facilities would be available for the children while processing at the U.S. Embassy Port-au-Prince.
JCICS further relayed that orphanage requests to the U.S. Embassy for security and transportation for the children have been denied by the State Department. The U.S. ministry associated with this orphanage, For His Glory Adoption Outreach (FHG), was also asked to stop requesting security, transportation or even water at the orphanage location. Following discussions with staff and board members in Port-au-Prince, the difficult decision was made that all 133 children, including approximately 60 children under the age of 3, will begin early in the morning of January 20th to walk the over 2 kilometers to the U.S. Embassy Port-au-Prince.
This decision was made due to the limited staff available and the increasingly dangerous security situation at the orphanage in Port-au-Prince. The staff will carry as much water, food and baby formula as possible with them for the orphans while processing at the U.S. Embassy. JCICS relayed that once processing is completed, the orphans will travel to the United States on "cargo jets to locations that are not often known until an hour or so before the flight leaves."

Kim Harmon, President of FHG, acknowledged that "this arrangement is far from ideal for the safety and well-being of the children. We are calling to all who care about these precious children to pray earnestly for their safety tomorrow."

Haiti~

Please pray for the people of Haiti.
Pray the people who minister there.
Pray for the families adopting children from there.
Pray for the missing birth families.
Please just pray for the people of Haiti.

From Tara Livesay-
The sun is about to come up. The aftershocks continue. Some more noticeable than others. There is no way to even begin to share the things we’ve heard and seen since 5pm yesterday. To do so would take hours that we don’t have to give right now. Some of them feel wrong to tell. Like only God should know these personal horrible tragedies.

The few things we can confirm – yes the four story Caribbean Market building is completely demolished. Yes it was open. Yes the National Palace collapsed. Yes Gov’t buildings nearby the Palace collapsed. Yes St Josephs Boys home is completely collapsed. Yes countless countless - countless other houses, churches, hospitals, schools, and businesses have collapsed. There are buildings that suffered almost no damage. Right next door will be a pile of rubble.

Thousands of people are currently trapped. To guess at a number would be like guessing at raindrops in the ocean. Precious lives hang in the balance. When pulled from the rubble there is no place to take them for care Haiti has an almost non existent medical care system for her people.

I cannot imagine what the next few weeks and months will be like. I am afraid for everyone. Never in my life have I seen people stronger than Haitian people. But I am afraid for them. For us.

2 Years~

Two Years Ago today...

They stepped off the plane and into my arms (they had been in my heart since the day I first learned about them)..

My sons. Two precious boys who are so kind, brave, and strong. As different from one another as day and night yet, both so amazing.

I can't tell you how proud I am to be their Mama. I am so blessed that the Lord has allowed me to be a part of their lives. I have no doubt that He is going to use them in a mighty way.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11~

*We tried to recreate the Pic w/ Sweet Pea we took 2 years ago, but they don't quite fit on my lap like they used to!
