"Our Daddy may have only had a third grade education, but he could read the King James Bible, " says Helen Ashe. He taught us three things: 1. There is but one race-- the human race. 2. There is but one Father--the Heavenly Father. 3. Never take the last piece of bread from the table. (Helen Ashe co-founder of the Love Kitchen)"

We had a sweet and simple Valentine's Day. A quick view of Facebook on the 14th of February will reveal that there are many varied opinions of this day. My feelings are that any day that I can show and tell the people in my life that I love them is a good day indeed. Of course, we should do this every day, but once a year it's fun to make that love a little something special amongst the business of school, work, and activities . We always read 1Corinthians 13 on Valentine's Day. What the Bible says about love and what the world teaches about love are two very different things. The world is all about getting love. The Bible tells us we are to give love. The world tells us loves is conditional. The Bible tells us love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love is forever. Oh, how I hope our children always keep their eyes focused on the ultimate Giver of Love. Jesus. His love is perfect.
Our sweet 16 year old Katie had our breakfast ready for us.
Happy messages on our fridge.
Funny messages on our board.
Our love jars filled. (Each year we each write down what we loves about each other and read them over dinner. It's a sweet and often hilarious time.)
A Valentine's Day rainbow!
Our dear friends gave us a "Heart Attack!" They stealthily decorated our door and gave us candy. We loved this!
Spicy Treats for my Sweets. LOL, our children love spicy over sweet. Having your own bag of junk food (once in a while) in a big family.... priceless.
Veggie Subs by candlelight. The children had TKD and didn't get home until 9:00 pm
I am so thankful for these people. Their loves inspires me and blesses me.
1 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13~

So sweet. I wish I could see all the pictures. For some reason, not all came up. I'll have to check back again to see what I missed.

Love you guys. I love your traditions. And that's brilliant on the heart attack.
