"Our Daddy may have only had a third grade education, but he could read the King James Bible, " says Helen Ashe. He taught us three things: 1. There is but one race-- the human race. 2. There is but one Father--the Heavenly Father. 3. Never take the last piece of bread from the table. (Helen Ashe co-founder of the Love Kitchen)"

6 and 6!
Our sweet Sam-Sam has been home for 6 months now and yesterday he turned 6. He was so excited! After watching 6 of his siblings have birthdays since his homecoming he asked me, "Mama, when me have birthday?" So sweet! Yesterday was his day and he knew exactly what he wanted. A birthday dinner of his favorite foods! Veggie Spring rolls, mashed potatoes, green beans, rice, tomatoes, cucumbers, corn on the cob, grapes, apples, strawberries, water melon. For some reason Sam-Sam loves "The Hulk". He has never seen the movie or anything but he loves pictures and action figures of "The Hulk". He will say "I so Hulk!" Translated to he is "The Hulk" He doesn't care for sweets very much but he really wanted a green Hulk cake. Katie and Eben were sweet enough to make this concoction from scratch as I was with Joel getting a cast for his broken thumb. Katie dubbed it the "Gamma Radiation Cake"...It was green through and through. Ha! It was very yummy too! As we were eating it Sam Sam waved his arms and said "Everybody Hulk". Love this boy! We are so blessed by this sweet little guy. He has adjusted so well and we truly thank God every day for him.
