"Our Daddy may have only had a third grade education, but he could read the King James Bible, " says Helen Ashe. He taught us three things: 1. There is but one race-- the human race. 2. There is but one Father--the Heavenly Father. 3. Never take the last piece of bread from the table. (Helen Ashe co-founder of the Love Kitchen)"

A 4th to Remember~
We had a very full and fun 4th of July...
The sun came up in a spectacular way...
Little ones were tossed in the air..
Little brothers were given a boost by big brothers..
There was time to hang out..
And hold on...
Volleyball games were played..
And races were run..
Waves were surfed with friends..
And then came the big fun :o)
Fireworks..
Friends..
And a lot of sparklin' too
It was a great day and a blessing to be with some of our favorite people celebrating the birthday of this great Land. Sam-Sam LOVED everything about his first 4th. He thought the fireworks were awesome and cheered with each boom, poop, and bang. There are so many "firsts" we missed in his life. We can't tell him about the day he took his first steps or said his first words, but there are so many fun firsts we are experiencing with him and we absolutely treasure each moment.

I'm glad he wasn't afraid of the loud noises. Jasmine struggles with it. Even at Disney!
What a BEAUTIFUL day! Your family is so special - Thank you for your obedience and the encouragement and the example that you are to me. I love what you do for your children. I love watching your love for them.
I wrote this yesterday about the portrayal of adoption in the ABC tv show, Once Upon a Time, and wondered if you've seen it.
